Ghost Hunting (Ghost Hunters) :Is a group of people going to haunted areas to captured evidence of paranormal activity. Using equipment to captured video, audio, and EMF readings. These type of people do not take time to research the area. Most of the time they do not know what they are dealing with and end up hurting their selves or their team mates. They do this more for fun then anything else. Some of these Ghost Hunting people do become Paranormal Researchers/Investigators. Others call upon Paranormal Researchers/Investigators to help them rid of a entity that attached to them because they lack the knowledge to prepare themselves before an investigations. Most of their investigations are also done illegally.

Paranormal Researchers: Is a group of people similar to Ghost Hunting groups. The difference is that the paranormal research groups takes time to research the area and also takes time to research the history of paranormal investigation. These people know about demons, angels, vengeful spirits, and other things that go bump in the night. When they walk in on an investigation they know the signs and are able to deal with what is there or able to find someone with more experience with that case and refer the clients. Paranormal researchers (Paranormal Investigators) knows that peoples lives are in danger not just the clients but their own. These people risk their lives and even soul to help others. They do not do this for fun and games. Even if there is no investigations for them to do, they research and read other peoples investigations and also research history. They know at times it can be boring but they know the education they receive on the down time is worth it when a case calls for it. Most of their investigations are done legally or with the officers on duty and surrounding areas permission. There teams usually have a demonologist, some kind of priest, someone who knows many different religions, someone us knows technology. Groups just starting take time to read books from PI’s before them. They also take time to look up their websites and see what investigations/stories they have. They also read Ghost Hunter Guide books, and just not from one person. They fine ways to horn their skills before going out on an investigation. They usually take small investigations till they are reading for a big one. This can take years.

That is our definitions that are stated above. We have had people join our group with fire in their eyes and ready to go. We tell them what we are about and they are gun ho about it. But then they see after awhile that there is hardly any investigations to be done. They now do not want to research or educate themselves. These people just wanted to ghost hunt and that is all. We try to get them to realize that there is more to it. But they refuse to see it.

Paranormal investigation has been around for a long time. Made famous by Harry Price in the 1800’s. But people do not realize the this has be going on sense the birth of time. The Holy Bible is one of the best Paranormal Investigation Guides out there.

As for CCGHS we prefer to be “PI/PR”. I do not care much for getting the proof then I am helping people. Having proof to share with you all is just a bonus. We do not force people to have us investigate their home, office, or land. We have them come to us. Some are bogus but some are real. Until there is a legit investigation we research and educate ourselves and teach the group. Each member decides for him/her self what interest them and the go off and learn and then teach us. People seem to remember better when they learn on their own and then teach their fellow members. We do more then just ghosts. We also investigate mysterious creatures, ufo’s and other paranormal type activity in the Christian County Illinois area. We do not know everything and do not claim to. But we are learning.

Yes this can be boring at times. But once you know your stuff doing an investigation will be more worth while and fulfilling for you. Going into an investigation prepared will show the client that you/we are serious and we are there to help them. Plus you gain confidence in yourself know that you can handle what ever comes around. Because you took the time to educate yourself and your teammates.

CCGHS is also a team player. No one is better then anyone else. Everyone is on the same level. No one shows someone up because they know more. We do not care if you have been doing this longer then us or just starting out. You do not flaunt what you know. Also you can not be on drugs or alcohol. No drug addicts or alcoholics are welcomed in the group.
